Mammotome needed to find a way to enforce brand compliance with hundreds of employees across 11 countries. The international medical devices company used Inspire to add store credit functionality to their webstores so employees would be incentivized to use the store for their branded items.

 

Mammotome is a pioneer in vacuum-assisted breast biopsy headquartered in Cincinnati, OH, and has products sold in over 50 different countries throughout the world.

A little more than 25 years ago, the original Mammotome Vacuum Assisted Breast Biopsy System transformed breast cancer intervention from open surgical biopsy to minimally invasive procedures.

Since then, Mammotome focused on providing best-in-class technology to help clinicians accurately diagnose breast cancer.

 

Distributed, Multi-Dimensional Teams

Mammotome has a large business development & sales team that work in tandem with their Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) managers, Regulatory Affairs managers, and Product Development/R&D teams to make their early detection systems cutting-edge. In addition to the ‘front office’ teams, Mammotome employs many operations staff to manage their logistics & fulfillment.

Managing brand compliance with hundreds of employees (many of whom don’t care for brand compliance) across 11 countries is a near impossible task.

Mammotome needed to find a way to:

  1. Control apparel so only approved-colored garments would be used uniformly
  2. Standardize bags, drinkware, and office items so everyone had access to the same items
  3. Most importantly, encourage employees (new and tenured) to respect the method of brand compliance & refer to it by default

 

Store Credits to Encourage Use from the Start

Inspire created a web portal with different combinations of products that would align with the Mammotome brand, their uniform goals, and everything a new hire would need.

After a few meetings of brainstorming & collaboration, followed up by a round of mockups to ensure brand compliance, Inspire loaded up the Mammotome webstore with a variety of products.

 

Inspire added store credit functionality to Mammotome’s webstores so employees would be incentivized to use the store for their branded items.

The store credits weren’t billed to Mammotome finance unless they were used, and came through in a separate invoice so everything was easy to account for.

 

Brand Evangelization, Fast-Tracked

Mammotome new employees were able to get excited about their new role much faster with the store credits serving as welcome gift. Marketing & Corporate teams didn’t need to handle apparel sizes or enter orders.

Everything is handled as if they received an Amazon gift card & ordered off Amazon.com.

The Mammotome store credit program gave their marketing team the brand control they needed, all while making branded merchandise ordering easier & getting new team members excited about their new role.
