Building the Kits

BSN has an exciting, dynamic brand that lives great on social media & other digital channels. Inspire worked tirelessly to source custom products to make sure BSN’s energetic brand language would come through on physical products.

Thinking ahead to distribution and shipping, a customized box would be disposed after opening, even if it would provide a great presentation experience. BSN wanted to dedicate the bulk of their budget to products their targets would use years later, not ephemeral experiences.

This led to the idea of using a duffel bag as a holder for all of the items in the kit. BSN created a custom pattern for for the primary fabric of the duffel bag, and Inspire produced the bag with dye-sublimated printing & detail customizations:

The remaining items were created with a few strategy meetings between the BSN & Inspire teams:

 

The only thing left to do from a product standpoint was to assemble the kits & get them ready for distribution.

Inspire put everything together with on-brand shipping cushioning so the products arrived safely & presented well. That way, when the kit recipients opened their kits, the contents didn’t look like they were just thrown in the bag.

 

Solving the Logistical Problem

BSN wanted to send the kits in two different batches: first to a select group of influencers, then once a month through a social media engagement contest.

The first was very straightforward: Inspire dropshipped each of the kits to where they needed to go and sent BSN tracking numbers for each so they could follow-up with the influencers.

After the first batch of kits was sent out, Inspire put the remaining kits into inventory. As the campaign progressed & the winning recipients were identified, BSN simply went on their distribution portal, entered in the shipping info, and it was handled normally.

Seamless Brand Engagement & Distribution

BSN launched the Show Stealer campaign with an engaging video with all of the contents of the kit & model interaction.

The campaign received incredible social engagement & tons of unsponsored, authentic social shares from micro-influencers. Those micro-influencers turned into brand evangelists, with some continuing to post the hashtag months after the campaign ended.
